we're a non-profit pool betting platform for your favourite sports events. we will try to be the ethical choice for small scale recreational gamblers.
instead of generating profit for the anonymous shareholders of large gambling corporations, bets placed with us will generate revenue for charities or amatuer clubs as decided by you, the punter.
consider us the nokia 8210 gambling option in a world of smartphones :-)
all bets will go into the "pot" and 85% of that will be distributed to the gamblers who chose the winning result. another 12% will go to clubs and charities. we'll initially take 3% percent to cover the payment processing and identity verification costs, and if things grow sufficiently, enough to cover a salary and make this a full time job instead of the hobby project that it is right now.
this algorithm means that the odds won't be finalised until we stop taking bets when the event starts, but it means that we can be completely transparent with how the funds are distributed.
